"The garden of Ireland walked end-to-end — granite hills, glacial valleys, and the monastic city of Glendalough."

The Wicklow Way was the first waymarked long-distance walk in Ireland, running 131 kilometres from the southern edge of Dublin through the granite heart of the Wicklow Mountains to Clonegal.

We walk the full trail in seven days, with a rest afternoon at Glendalough — the sixth-century monastic settlement at the head of a glacial valley, which is as close as Ireland comes to a set of ruins you can fall in love with.

This is the most accessible of our walks, and a good first trip if you haven't walked in Ireland before.
